New Australian research is hopeful among education authorities around the world, following its findings that sick minors in Corona do not infect one another or the adult population. The study, which was published yesterday (Saturday), looked at the level of virus infection among schoolchildren in New South Wales, from March through mid-April. The researchers monitored 18 patients: nine students and nine teaching staff members from 15 different schools.

The first results determined that one student, from elementary school, and another high school student may have been infected with other infectious cases in the schools they attended. Also, "no teacher or staff member from those schools was infected with the first infection cases there," the report said. The low infection rate stood out because 735 students and 128 parent staff members were "in close contact" with the 18 infection cases Tested.

The study itself states that on March 23, a call by the education authorities in New South Wales for parents to leave their children at home may have affected the results of the study. The findings from this investigation are preliminary. However, they state that "the distribution of corona virus in schools has been limited."

The findings have helped the education authorities in Australia enable the opening of schools as part of the easing that will be implemented in the near future. However, the battle of Australian teacher committees has reservations about reopening schools. In response, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the risk of teachers "is in the teachers' room," not in the classrooms.

Also, the Australian Emergency Situation Commission in Australia, the AHPPC released a document last Friday stating that classrooms are exempt from the need to apply a four-foot principle, which relates to the amount of people allowed to enter confined rooms, and the two meters of social remoteness. These things did not reassure teachers' organizations in Australia, who claimed the document was not sufficiently clear how "the government intends to ensure safe working conditions for teachers, administrators and support staff." As a result, teachers' organizations have called for the students to step back.

In addition to the Australian study, a recent Dutch study examining the level of infection by age strata was found, and found that at ages zero to 18 percent of the infection was 0%.
