Snakes and snails are currently causing a stir in Hallbergmoos. Behind it are ideas that connect people in times of Corona.

Hallbergmoos - walking and cycling are inevitably one of the main leisure activities in times of exit restrictions and contact closures. If you do your rounds in the Goldachpark, you will discover an unusual phenomenon there: a good 600 stones that are lined up along the banks. They are beautifully painted, with butterflies, funny cartoon characters, encouragement sayings against Corona and much more. The idea of the "stone snake" is flooding social media - and is taking shape in many places in the republic.
In Goldach she chose a particularly picturesque place. And it grows and grows every day. "Please leave it there. The stones are part of a game, ”is written on a laminated note - combined with the invitation to children and passers-by to add their own painted stone. "Let's see how long our stone snake will be in the Corona period," it continues. A colorful campaign against boredom, which can be copied with little effort.
The snake is a happy eye-catcher
And the Hallbergmoos and Goldacher are evidently happy to be there: from the dazzling rainbow to minions and ladybugs to butterflies and the request “Be friendly”, everything is included. This lifts the mood and is a happy eye-catcher. And it connects - in two ways. Of course, the stones should not be taken away. After all, everyone should have something of the bright pick-me-up, and for as long as possible.
Long line: Around 600 painted stones have already come together on the project in the Goldachpark.

In Hallbergmoos, the campaign triggered a young mother with her two children. And the idea finds enthusiastic imitators: the youth of the VfB volleyball department has just laid a stone snail in front of the Hallberg Hall. "Volleyball is a team sport" underlines youth coach Johanna Wagner. And to keep the children - literally - on the ball, the VfB department has come up with some ideas.
Volleyball players show their creativity
Under the hashtag #gemeinsamstark, the solo training sessions at home are documented by photo and video. A new clip has just been published on Instagram, in which the athletes can be seen digging, picking up and pounding. In analogue life, the closed sports hall at Freiherr-von-Hallberg-Platz is a meeting point in the broadest sense: the bambinis between the ages of five and ten have deposited their painted and beautifully decorated stones there. In the middle of the "stone snail" is the VfB emblem, which Philipp Schachl (10) managed to do quite well.
