New York-SANA
Today, New York State Governor Andrew Como suggested that the mandatory home quarantine order be extended beyond May 15 in many parts of the state, noting at the same time that restrictions can be eased in some areas of the state if hospitals have sufficient capacity and meet the required standards.
Reuters quoted Como as saying in a daily statement that 337 New Yorkers had died in the last 24 hours as a result of 19 Coffed, down from 367 the day before, the lowest number of daily deaths since last March 30.
In comments yesterday, Como suggested the possibility of resuming some industrial activities and
construction workshops in the state after the 15th of May, and that the matter remains subject to the continuous decrease in the number of injured people in hospitals.
May 15th is the date of the end of the closure measures approved by the governor.
The transition to the second stage is expected at least two weeks later, and includes the resumption of other commercial activities and departments, to ensure that there is no mutation in infection.
