The Ninth District and Song Ya Road site near Tai Po Hospital have announced the construction of public housing projects, which can provide 7,070 public housing units.

According to documents submitted by the Housing Department to the District Council, the project is expected to be completed in 2021 and the first quarter of 2023 respectively. Since the site is adjacent to the Tai Po Fengyuan Butterfly Conservation Area, the architect ’s design concept is also derived from butterflies. Was named after the theme of butterflies, and was named "Fut Die Village".

According to the District Council document, public housing development plans for District 9 in Tai Po, Song Ya Road East and Song Ya Road West will be carried out in three phases. The first two phases will build one and eight residential buildings, providing a total of about 7,070 units. They are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2021 and 2023 respectively, while the third phase is still in the planning stage.

Named after different species of butterflies

The Housing Department pointed out that because the site was adjacent to the Tai Po Fengyuan Butterfly Conservation Area, the architect's design concept was also derived from butterflies. Therefore, it was suggested that the naming of the estate be based on butterflies. In addition, the new estate was adjacent to Fu Heng Village and was named " Fudie Village ".

9 residential buildings are named after different butterfly species, namely: Bandie Tower in the first phase; Zhendie Tower, Pink Butterfly Tower, Fengdie Tower, Vanessa Butterfly Tower, Xidie Tower, Ciaodie Tower and Zi Dielou and Huangdielou.

According to the information, the ninth district of Tai Po is located near Fu Heng Village and Tai Po Hospital. The site was originally used for private hospitals. However, due to the flow of signs, the government transferred the land together with Song Ya Road East and Song Ya Road West projects during 2013 Rezoned for public housing use.
