Reports in Syria: Israel's "hostile" and missiles have hit targets in southern capital Damascus. There were loud explosions on the spot.
The attack reportedly began around 5 a.m., when planes fired missiles at a compound in southern Damascus. The complex is used to store ammunition, and according to testimonials and videos on Twitter there were loud explosions.
Syrian media reports that Damascus air defense systems have been used to intercept "hostile" missiles. According to reports by informal officials, complexes were attacked for storage of IDFs south of the capital.
The attack was reportedly carried out by Lebanon's airspace and most of the missiles fired were fired by Syrian Army air defense systems. No damage or injuries were reported. However, Syrian news sites affiliated with the opposition in Syria are reporting attacks on the pro-Iranian troops' storage facility south of the Syrian capital. Twitter users distributed video of missiles in the sky, on their way to Syria.
