Two brothers were taken into custody in a blatant investigation into the "murder in an organized gang" of a 25-year-old man in Sète (Hérault), we learned on Monday 27 April from the prosecution.

According to the prosecution, "one of the two shooters could be identified" : a 31-year-old man, "known to the police" , who was placed in police custody on Sunday morning. A second man, suspected of being the other shooter and brother of the first detained, was taken prisoner Monday in Montpellier and was placed in police custody, the prosecution told AFP, confirming information from sources close to the investigation.

Friday, the police of Sète were called in the poor district of Ile-de-Thau around 9:35 pm for gunshots. On the spot, they discovered, at the avenue de Saint-Exupéry, a BMW vehicle in the middle of the road with a person wounded by bullets in the driver's seat, specifies the parquet floor. Despite the intervention of the emergency services, the victim, residing in Sète, aged 25 years (well 25 and not 35 as indicated by error by the prosecution at first) and "known to the police, in particular for facts relating to narcotics ” , died on the spot around 10:30 p.m., he adds.

The first observations made it possible to note the presence of several bullet holes (inlets and outlets), on the upper part of the body. The autopsy is to take place on Monday. The regional judicial police service (SRPJ) of Montpellier was seized of the investigation.
