The Starnberger See sewage association wants to increase its loans this year by 9 to 62 million euros. However, the fees remain unaffected.

Starnberg - 62 million euros: this figure will be on the minus side of the balance sheet of the Starnberger See wastewater association at the end of the year. The association plans to raise 9 million euros in loans this year. The association meeting approved the budget for 2020 in its most recent meeting, thereby giving its okay for renewed borrowing. According to the association chairman Rupert Monn, the money will be used for development projects in the member communities, for connecting private construction projects and for the renewal and expansion of their own sewer system.

The fees will not increase despite the new borrowing. The Starnberg Association Council Dr. Klaus Huber had done the calculations and had taken into account the eleven vacancies in his calculation. "Doesn't that lead to an increase in fees? I get 3.30 and 3.50 euros per cubic meter for the personnel costs alone. ”Managing Director Norbert Impelmann assured that the personnel costs were always included in the calculation of the fees. "We are only halfway through the current calculation period." By 2022, the wastewater fee will be 3.26 euros per cubic meter and the rainwater fee will be 0.99 cents per square meter of sealed area. Association head Monn assured that the borrowing was in accordance with the local tax law. "The debt level is to be reduced from 2023," he said. In addition, the potential credit line of households has never been exhausted since 2014.

13.3 million euros for sewers, pumping stations and sewage treatment plants

The volume of the administrative budget of the association amounts to 16.5 million euros, which is almost a million lower than in the previous year. The budget contains 19.2 million euros, 1.2 million more than in 2019.

The association has big plans for this year. 13.3 million euros are to flow into the sewer lines, the pumping stations and the sewage treatment plant this year. 2.7 million euros are planned for vehicles in the sewer area. They are necessary because, as reported, the association does its own channel research and no longer wants to outsource it. External companies became more and more expensive. That is why he has been increasing his staff for several years. It's not that easy: Eleven positions are still vacant. Monn hopes that the new large-scale allowance and a new collective agreement will make recruiting easier.
