Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the head of the Turkish regime, has ordered parliament to lift the immunity of dozens of deputies opposed to him, in continuation of his approach of suppressing and silencing the voice of everyone who opposes or criticizes his reckless policies.
The opposition Republican website reported that the Presidential Office submitted to the Constitution and Justice Committee notes to lift the immunity of 30 opposition MPs, including 21 from the HDP, headed by two vice-chairmen of the party's parliamentary bloc, Nematallah Erdogmosh, and Meral Danesh Bash Tash.
The Erdogan regime has consistently submitted such memos targeting its opponents, claiming that they are "advocates of terrorist organizations in parliament", especially deputies of the Peoples Democratic Party, which Erdogan continues to fight and pressure him, and he has fired several elected mayors after his victory over the ruling Justice and Development Party candidates.
The Turkish parliament, dominated by the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), recently passed a law allowing the release of tens of thousands of prisoners from criminals but preventing the release of prisoners opposed to the Erdogan regime.
