A week after the first two cases of coronavirus were registered in Villa 31 in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Retiro, 11 new infections were confirmed on Tuesday amid growing fear of an increase in infections.

In this way, there are 13 cases reported by the authorities of the Buenos Aires Government , and all linked, as required, to people who were linked to each other for family or employment issues.

The first case had been that of a woman who approached CeSAC number 21, which is located in one of the entrances to the villa, a few meters from the Sentinel Building. From there she was transferred to a Febrile Emergency Unit.

The contagions in the most popular settlements and neighborhoods are the most feared by the authorities, who continually insist on the difficulty of respecting the isolation decreed by the Government.

Days ago, a six-month-old baby who lives with his parents in Villa 1-11-14 of Bajo Flores tested positive at the Garrahan hospital.
