The Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasbin, stressed that Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity with respect to Russia surpasses all considerations and the two countries have strong and strategic relations.
Zasbekin said in an interview with Al-Mayadeen channel tonight that Russia continues in its approach and firm principle towards Syria, and the relations between the two countries are solid and strategic, and there is no deal with any party regarding Syria.
Zasbkin stressed that the future of Syria is determined by the Syrians themselves and without external interference and that the Syrian government is working to find a solution to the crisis in Syria.
Zasbkin explained that the recent media fraud occurred through the hacking of the website of the Russian Federal News Agency, in addition to showing a personal position of a former Russian diplomat as if it was the official position of Russia, indicating that it is not the first time that such fraud is taking place.
The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Lebanon confirmed in a statement published yesterday that all the false news and slanders that have spread recently in some media and social networks about the Russian position about what is happening in Syria, "an episode of a misleading serial tucked" that is doomed to failure.
