Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Piotr Maurer, regional conditions and crisis situations in different regions of the world where emphasis was placed on providing humanitarian assistance to the civilian population in Syria and southeast Ukraine and other urgent issues of bilateral cooperation.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today that Lavrov and Maurer also discussed during a telephone conversation between them issues of cooperation in combating the spread of the Corona virus and the practical measures to overcome the humanitarian consequences of this pandemic.
