The start of the northern bypass is a long time coming. The drainage concept must be improved. The term of action has been extended by the municipality of Greiling until June.

Bad Tölz / Greiling - Greilings Mayor Anton Margreiter says, "Until the result is to the satisfaction of the community," the lawsuit will of course not be withdrawn ". As a precaution, the time limit for action had already been extended to June. Background: The only plaintiff against the planning approval decision is the municipality of Greiling. The Bauamt Weilheim and the city of Bad Tölz have already eliminated two of the three criticisms (a cycle path and a construction load for a street section). Number three is now proving to be a tough nut, which Margreiter estimates will take six months to complete.

Why is? The municipality of Greiling is concerned that the rainwater retention basins, which are being built on the Kasernenberg due to the additional sealed areas, are not sufficient. Secondly, the drainage concept via a ditch to the Weiherbach and further towards Große Gaißach and Isar was not sufficiently examined.

Margreiter also speaks of subterranean currents that are known to the local people, but were not taken into account in the planning and investigations by the engineering office. "But we always pointed it out." Margreiter justified his persistence, one wanted to be able to tell the backers on Ötzstraße am Weiherbach that "their fears of flooding are irrelevant".

Margreiter: The on-site visit was "positive and cooperative"

At the on-site appointment with the water management office, it was now agreed that a now-in-depth drainage concept would also be "combined" with the existing flood protection concept of the municipality in the hands of an engineering office, as the head of the municipality says. He felt that the representatives of the water management office were "positive and cooperative".

Who is responsible for the delay? The head of the Weilheim water management office, Roland Kriegsch, did not want to know anything about the shortcomings of his house during the planning approval process. From the start, the specification of the measures was a matter for the execution planning. The department head responsible for the district, Dora Schulze, also referred to this position on renewed demand.

Martin Herda, head of department at the lead Bauamt Weilheim, admits that the water management office stated in the planning approval decision that proof must be provided that no damage is caused to third parties (i.e. the Weiherbach survivors). The detailed planning in this regard should be coordinated closely with the water management office. The water management found the technical solution described in the decision to be in order.

"A step forward," admits Herda, "that is not now." However, the department head does not believe in the six-month delay that Margreiter estimates. "Perhaps the report will come in a timely manner." The time was not wasted. "In parallel, we will push ahead with the implementation planning." (Chs)
