The protest actions, sit-ins and bandits were renewed in Beirut and several Lebanese regions today to protest against the living conditions and the high prices.

The Lebanese National Media Agency reported that the protesters flocked from various Tripoli neighborhoods and northern regions to Abdel Hamid Karami Square, which was closed by the protesters, amid tight security measures by the military and security forces, and chanted slogans demanding an improvement in the living situation, lowering prices, and protesters broke down the facades of a number of banks and attached Damages to public and private properties.

The agency indicated that the security forces are working to chase the security breaches in the streets and neighborhoods around the Al-Nour Square, especially those who have set fire to and destroyed banks' facades.

The agency added that a number of protesters gathered last night in front of the Bank of Lebanon in the Al-Hamra area in Beirut amid tight security measures and chanted slogans denouncing the financial and monetary policy and the crazy rise in the exchange rate of the dollar, as the factory road is still bribed with dirt berms since last night.

In turn, the Lebanese Army Command announced in a statement today that 54 soldiers were injured during the protests yesterday and today, noting that a number of intruders committed riots and were exposed to public and private property in the city of Tripoli and burned a number of banking branches as they attacked the army units deployed targeting a military mechanism by a bottle Molotov incendiary and another hand grenade, causing minor injuries to the military.

Protests also took place in the streets of Sidon, Keserwan, and Akkar, and demonstrators vandalized public and private property.

Yesterday, there were sit-ins and road closures in Beirut and the suburbs of Saida, Tripoli, North and Bekaa, and clashes erupted between members of the army and a number of demonstrators after they burned tires and tried to cut roads in Tripoli, which led to a number of injuries.
