The network, "made up of experienced speedboat operators and known traffickers ", served " the largest national and international drug trafficking structures " to " recover cocaine on the high seas, " police said in a statement. communicated.

The investigators, helped by the American anti-drug agency DEA and the British or Colombian law enforcement agencies, were warned of the arrival of a boat carrying the drugs.
Flying the Togolese flag, this vessel, which had been at sea for twenty days, was intercepted twenty nautical miles from the coast of Galicia with four tonnes of cocaine on board.
Its fifteen crew members, mostly from Bangladesh and Nepal, were arrested as were thirteen members of the network on dry land in Galicia after several searches.
