The deconfinement on May 11 "not won" in Ile-de-France, according to Pécresse

Ile-de-France president Valérie Pécresse (ex-LR) estimated Tuesday that the deconfinement in her region on May 11 was "not won" and called on companies to "loosen peak hours" .

"The progressive deconfinement decided seems to me the right choice," explained on TF1 Valérie Pécresse, after the presentation by Prime Minister Edouard Philippe of the government's strategy before the Assembly. But "in a very affected region, very urban like Ile-de-France, there is a sword of Damocles that weighs" and "the deconfinement on May 11 is not won," she added.

Indeed "the virus continues to circulate, still too much" , there is "relaxation on the confinement" and "our caregivers are tired" , she added. Referring to the "bottleneck" that are "public transport" , she assured that the region would "work with businesses" on the subject.

"Loosen the rush hour"

"We are negotiating an agreement so that 80% of people who today telecommute continue to do so after May 11, and that the arrivals of employees are made between 7 and 11 am to loosen the time of tip, " she said.

In addition "we must secure transport" and "limit their use" , she repeated, referring to the marking on the ground, the wearing of masks and the implementation of "cleaning and disinfection protocols" .
