The Kremlin reiterated that the solution to the crisis in Libya is political, not military, indicating that Russia continues its contacts with all Libyan parties involved in the political process in their country.
Russia Today website quoted Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying today that "the political and diplomatic track is the only way to stability in Libya," indicating that Moscow remains convinced that the only possible settlement of the crisis in Libya can be through this path and there are no other options .
Field Marshal Khalifa Hifter, commander of the Libyan National Army, announced yesterday the suspension of work on the Skhirat political agreement on the situation in Libya in response to the calls of the Libyan people, describing the agreement as "the suspect who destroyed the country and led it to dangerous slopes."
Libya has been suffering since the NATO aggression against it in 2011 in a state of chaos and insecurity in light of the proliferation of weapons and terrorist organizations that are trying to impose their influence and control on various cities and regions, especially in the capital Tripoli, which is spread by militias of the government of reconciliation supported by the Turkish regime.
