Damascus-Sana

A new blow to the international community and the resolutions of the United Nations was directed by the US President Donald Trump's administration after it announced its readiness to recognize the annexation of parts of the West Bank to the Zionist occupation entity in a new conspiratorial scheme to liquidate the Palestinian issue at the same time affirming Washington's contempt and contempt for international legitimacy.

The Trump administration reaffirmed once again its absolute and unconditional bias of the Israeli occupation entity and again violated international laws in order to achieve its colonial interests by announcing the US State Department spokeswoman yesterday that Washington was ready to recognize the annexation of parts of the West Bank to the usurping entity to give it the green light to complete its settlement plans.

The spokesperson found that there was no problem in asserting in front of reporters the position of the United States that has always supported the occupation authorities and their willingness to impart a false legitimacy to his colonial plans that are now targeting the West Bank, to demonstrate with her statements the contempt of the American administration of international laws and legitimacy, which considers these moves a serious violation.

The announcement of the US administration on the West Bank comes within the framework of stated intentions and a prior agreement between Washington and the occupation authorities, and it also falls in the context of Trump's attempts to complete his role in achieving Israeli ambitions and plans before the end of his first term, despite political and diplomatic crises facing him, especially after his failure to Dealing with the Corona pandemic.

The State Department spokesperson's statement confirms what US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said last Wednesday that "the final decision regarding the annexation of areas of the West Bank belongs to the next Israeli government."

Extensive international condemnation faced the occupation authorities' announcement of its plan to annex lands from the West Bank, including warning the United Nations Coordinator for the Middle East Nikolai Mladenov that any possible annexation of Palestinian lands to the occupation entity would be a devastating blow to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, while the European Union's foreign policy commissioner Josep Borel assured The position of the Union regarding the status of the lands occupied by Israel in 1967 has not changed.

However, all reactions opposing these plans were not sufficient to prevent the occupation authorities or the American administration from moving forward in achieving their plans similar to what happened previously after Trump's declaration regarding the occupied Syrian Golan and before him recognition of occupied Jerusalem as the capital of the usurping entity.

The Israeli occupation authorities are dangerously accelerating the implementation of their settlement plans within the framework of the so-called "deal of the century" aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue and forfeiting the rights of the Palestinian people. The announcement of the US administration about annexing parts of the West Bank is only an item of these plans that would not have been achieved without The United States' absolute support for the occupation entity and its attempts to legalize bullying and usurpation of rights.
