Ibrahim Zahran, head of the Egyptian Liberation Party, condemned the continuation of the economic blockade and unilateral Western coercive measures against Syria, stressing that it constitutes a major crime, especially in the circumstances of the global spread of the Corona virus.
Zahran stressed in a statement to the SANA correspondent in Cairo that the US and Western anti-Syrian policies must be ended and unilateral coercive measures lifted in order to be able to tackle the Corona virus at full capacity.
He said that "the countries that imposed the siege on Syria bear the responsibility of the humanitarian conditions in it and all the crimes committed by terrorist organizations over the past years," expressing his confidence that Syria will remain steadfast despite the siege and coercive measures.
