The number of planted trees planted in the directorates of agriculture in the governorates for the current season reached 1.3 million varieties.
Eng. Abdul Moeen Qadmani, Director of Plant Production at the Ministry of Agriculture, told SANA Economic Bulletin that the sale of fruit tree planting takes place through two methods, the first through the family card and the amount of 50 plantings for home cultivation and the support of fields and the second through extension units and under the agricultural organization until the new plantations indicating that all the plantings are High quality and productivity, sold at a lower price than the private sector nursery price.
Qadmani pointed out that the number of ready-made seedlings for sale amounts to more than 2.3 million seedlings in 40 continuous seedlings in work and production in all governorates and produces various types of fruit trees with high production specifications while the planned amount is 2.7 million seedlings in the current season indicating that the sold quantities amounted to 1.3 million seedlings With the end of the selling season on the 31st of last March, while the sale of citrus and olive grass in Tartous and Lattakia provinces has been extended until the end of this month.
