More than 340 Europeans will be repatriated Wednesday from Uruguay and Paraguay, announced local authorities and the French embassy in Montevideo.

A plane from the Spanish company Air Europa, chartered by the French government, will leave Montevideo at 8:20 p.m. (2320 GMT) with some 180 passengers on board, including 65 French and South Americans residing in Europe, told ADP. the French Embassy in Uruguay.
A stopover in Asunción will allow 160 additional passengers to board the aircraft bound for Paris, according to the same source.
164 repatriated Uruguayans
The plane, which landed Wednesday morning in Montevideo from Madrid, allowed the repatriation of 164 Uruguayans, said the Uruguayan foreign ministry.
"We would like to warmly thank the French government for its offer to allow the repatriation of Uruguayans who wanted to return from Spain," said Uruguayan foreign minister Ernesto Talvi on Tuesday evening at a press conference.
