Closed for a month and a half to stop the spread of the new coronavirus, schools will reopen in Senegal from June 2, first for students in exam class, the government announced on Wednesday.

Schools and universities have been closed in Senegal since March 16. The West African country has reported 882 confirmed cases of Covid-19 including 315 cured and nine deaths.
To try to stem the transmission of the new coronavirus, the authorities have established a night curfew, closed the borders, prohibited traffic between regions, closed hotels and restaurants or even imposed the wearing of a mask.
