The Stuttgart-based Daimler group wants to push ahead with the planned job cuts. For this, employees are promised high severance payments.
Stuttgart - 2020 is not an easy year for the Stuttgart Daimler group. In April, large parts of the production came to a standstill, and it wasn't until April 20 that the carmaker slowly started up its plants again. Around 80 percent of the approximately 170,000 employees in Germany have been affected by short-time work to varying degrees since April 6.
The result: Significantly fewer employees than expected should be willing to voluntarily leave Daimler for the planned job cuts. As echo24.de * reports, the Stuttgart group wants to drive the dismantling - and promise high severance payments. In addition, managers should put pressure on them in discussions.
