Twenty members of the Lebanese army were wounded as a result of attacks by groups of rioters during the demonstrations in the cities of Sidon and Tripoli last night.

The Lebanese National Agency reported that a group of rioters threw stones at the army and threw Molotov cocktails towards them, which led to the injury of one of the elements to the head. Rioters threw Molotov cocktails towards the Bank of Lebanon in Sidon, while another group of protesters rioted in Bank Street and cut a number From the city center roads with garbage containers.

In Tripoli, 19 military personnel were injured as a result of riots during the protests that took place in Al-Nour Square in the city and Al-Shiraa Square in Al-Mina and Al-Beddawi and its surrounding area. In addition, 23 protesters were injured and bruised.

A number of rioters threw Molotov cocktails at a bank building in Mount Lebanon, and others burned tires in Tripoli.

Participants in the protests denounced the riots and attacks against Lebanese army personnel.

It is noteworthy that the sit-ins and demonstrations that took place in Tripoli, Beirut, Saida and Bekaa the day before yesterday led to the outbreak of confrontations with the Lebanese army and security forces as a result of riots interspersed with protests that led to the injury of about eighty Lebanese soldiers and the burning of a number of banks and the breaking of some of them.
