Wild chase: Two BMW drivers tried to escape the police - and with considerable speed. They were on their way to Lake Walchensee. 

  • Two cars fought a chase with the police .
  • The BMW drivers were headed towards Lake Walchensee at great speed.
  • One of the drivers was a 34-year-old Garmisch-Partenkirchner.

Mittenwald / Garmisch-Partenkirchen - For a fast-paced chase there have been about 22 am on Monday evening (April 27): A patrol of police Mittenwald remarked on the northern outskirts of Wallgau two cars traveling in opposite directions, which were traveling at considerable speed towards Walchensee. The officers immediately turned and chased the two BMWs

Although the company car - including special signals on - accelerated to approximately 180 kilometers an hour, the distance to the two cars increased . On the B11 via Walchensee / Kesselberg to Kochel , the police tried not to lose sight of the cars. But that didn't work.

In the meantime, a patrol was ordered by the Murnau border police to Kochel to set up a roadblock there. When the Mittenwalders arrived there, the chased vehicles had not yet appeared there. So we went back to look for the fugitives . Within the Kochel area, one of the cars suddenly came towards - the driver wanted to dash off again by accelerating hard. The patrol turned and followed the BMW , which has now been stopped by the border police. As the officials say, the man behind the wheel was a 34-year-old Garmisch-Partenkirchner who was traveling alone. The second vehicle disappeared despite an intensive search.

After a telephone consultation with the Munich public prosecutor's office , the driver's license and car were confiscated from the prisoner . A criminal complaint awaits him. Fact: prohibited motor vehicle racing.

On the route from Wallgau to Kochel, several vehicles with Garmisch-Partenkirchner and Bad Tölzer license plates were  overtaken  by the patrol of the Mittenwald inspection . The speeders also had to pass these by force. The appropriate drivers are asked to contact the police on 08823/92140.

Again and again the Garmin A95 is misused as a speed track. Even a super sports car with 600 hp has already been stopped.
