Minden - It's a sight that is likely to make not just the average phobic shudder. A hairy something with eight legs sits next to the usual black PC mouse on a standard squared paper mouse pad: It is the tarantula by artist Stefan Pabst that has taken a seat there. But it is an illusion - only few people notice it.

She has eight legs, is hairy all over and is slightly larger than a computer mouse. Not only does it meet the key data, Pabst's pet also looks like it, so you could really touch it - if you want it of course. Even if you do not know it beforehand, it is all the more astonishing afterwards: the tarantula is only a brilliant artistic imitation of the original.
The draftsman uses a 3D drawing technique with which he literally puts in his surroundings by all means of art. One person in particular was able to enjoy his trick art .

At first glance, the life-size spiders painted by Stefan Pabst look so much like the original that his little daughter fell for them too. He told the newspaper Neue Westfälische in an earlier interview: "My daughter really thought there was a spider sitting on the sheet of paper and tried to crush it." It was only after a quarter of an hour that she noticed that this was only the case for dad's painted tarantula, she dared to touch her.

How he does it all , he shows in tutorials on Youtube his more than 400,000 followers and thus reveals a bit of the magic of his art of drawing. Nevertheless, you certainly need some practice in drawing a snake so that it gives the impression that you can hear it hiss.
If you suffer from spider fear and don't want to go on a confrontation course with the original, you could at least try Pabst's tarantula double. That seems to have worked out for his daughter.
Photos can also be misleading: this seems to be a normal photo on the beach - or isn't it? On another, pretty girls distract from a whimsical detail - do you discover it?
