The German government implements the Bundestag decision to completely ban Hezbollah activity in the country: Interior Minister Horst Zahofar issued a decree this morning banning Hezbollah activity in Germany and order the closure of four associations affiliated with the Lebanese terrorist organization and operating throughout Germany.

Zahofar reasoned that Hezbollah was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people in terrorist operations around the world and aimed at destroying the State of Israel. According to the minister, the organization is working against Germany's supreme national interest, which is committed to Israel's existence and security.

In the past, Germany has only banned the activity of the military wing of the terrorist organization. Due to US and Israeli pressure, the ban on the political arm was extended last summer.

Hezbollah used Germany as a basis for organizing, money laundering, distributing drugs, buying weapons and forging documents. Remember, Germany is part of the expanded UNIFIL force in Lebanon.
