The deputy head of the Slovak Communist Party Jalal Suleiman condemned the coercive economic unilateral measures imposed by the West on Syria, describing it as barbaric and illegal.

"The European Union continues to impose unilateral economic sanctions on Syria while it addresses the spread of the Coruna virus, which reaffirms that the West does not care about the fate of ordinary people at all, as it claims," Suleiman said in an interview with the Slovakian Hlavny Sprafi website.

Suleiman also condemned the interference of the Turkish regime in the internal affairs of Syria and the attacks of its forces on its lands, stressing that these interventions and the presence of foreign forces in Syria illegally hinder the political solution in them.

The deputy head of the Communist Party of Slovakia stressed that the presence of the American occupation forces in some Syrian regions and their theft of Syrian oil shows the extent of the brigand and rudeness of the American administration.
