Donald Trump stepped up his offensive against China on Thursday, saying it was either possible that it was unable to stop the coronavirus, or that it let it spread. Speaking to the press, the President has declined to say whether he holds his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping responsible for what he says he feels is misinformation from China when SARS-CoV-2 is appeared in Wuhan, Hubei Province, before spreading rapidly.

Trump also claimed that he saw evidence establishing that the origin of the virus was at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. In a statement released Thursday, the central office of the American intelligence agencies indicates that the elements at its disposal dismiss the track according to which the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 would have been created by the man or would be the product of a modification genetic.
