At the end of the contract with Stade Rochelais, former international winger Marc Andreu (34, 7 caps) announced that he is ending his career as a professional player. Recently, he had confided to Figaro that "it (him) would be sorry to have to end (his) career". But he finally decided to hang up the crampons after 15 years of career. "It is with some emotion that I announce the end of my professional career," he posted. I wanted to thank the Rugby Club Toulonnais which allowed me to become a professional. Thank as we say in the jargon my 2 fathers "Laurent Travers and Laurent Labit" who made me be the player I was and the man I am now. Thank Castres Olympique and its president Pierre Yves Revol as well as Racing 92 and its president Jacky Lorenzetti for their confidence. ”
And to add: “Thank you to the Stade Rochelais for giving me the opportunity to play in this temple of Marcel-Deflandre. I thank all the supporters, my teammates (it should not be easy every day), some of whom have become real friends, my family and more particularly my wife and children. A new page opens but I keep an eye on rugby which I love deeply. ”
