Repeated fires of telephone relays in Isère

According to the regional daily Le Dauphiné Libéré , the fire damaged the technical room of a relay antenna of the operator Orange installed on the heights of Saint-Marcellin. An investigation was opened, entrusted to the Saint-Marcellin research brigade and to the research section of the Isère gendarmerie.

Over the Channel, relay antennas were attacked in April following the spread on the internet of rumors linking 5G to the spread of the new coronavirus. In France, relay antennas have already been targeted in recent days near Saint-Brieuc in Brittany and in the Jura, according to local press. Others had been, in the Var and in Carcassonne in particular, at the end of last year.
