Democracy is me

Dismantling Blue and White because of Gantz and Ashkenazi's decision to join the coalition has led to a series of harsh statements by Yad Futur and Talam chiefs. At this point, their attack on their former allies seems more harmful than helpful. Moshe Ya'alon, a former Likud member whose two senior members defected (Hauser and Handel), Yair Lapid declared that Gantz, who has so far supported him, is not worthy of being prime minister, and has managed to confuse the public by attacking the rotation agreement and announcing that he will support Netanyahu if he wants to cancel, channel Io-tiob as it is.

Of course, you have decided not to enter a coalition with Netanyahu - securing their election - calls for a now defiant opposition stance, but this move pushes them to the left of Meretz's arms, pushing them away from the political center that has been leisurely captured by Gantz and Ashkenazi's limited white and blue, who also took the party's name. As a governing alternative.

Lapid and Ya'alon's claim to be the guardians of democracy against the dark forces continues the election campaign led by Blue and White. However, this line has not been able to beat the balance in three election campaigns. Their bloc remained around 47-52 seats, against the right which maintained an average of eight seats (55-60). These are the critical mandates for transferring power. In this situation, Lapid and Ya'alon chose to join the joint list, and remained at the head of a limited camp of 26 seats.

Why does a party of 16 seats (13 percent of voters) claim it represents democracy, and what does that mean? Is the rest of the public, that is, most of it, not democratic? This is a party that does not hold internal elections as a matter of principle. Even our ally, Avigdor Lieberman from Israel, our home is not exactly representative of democratic values or a warrior of corruption throughout his career, but a representative of a sector.

The principle around which there is a Talmudic future - "democracy is me" - has a fundamental failure. He mentions the slogan "the country is me" attributed to Louis XIV, King of France in the 17th and early 18th centuries, The monarchy was the main value of the state, while today - it is democracy. Is Lapid and Ya'alon the most representative of democracy in Israel?

Democracy is not a person or a party. Are its only representatives anxious for the peace of the system? These slogans touch the depth of Israeli political discourse and successfully mobilize parts of the public, but are not List the pragmatic voters of the center, who are the most important public to gain power. This public is attuned to concrete economic and policy plans that will improve its condition, much more than general statements about purity of dimensions. It is an effective alternative.
