The two suspects are accused of attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.

The two men are a 23 year old and a 26 year old. The men are suspected of causing serious injuries to each other with knives in a parking lot on Langstrasse . Previously, the first meeting of the two suspects is said to have already taken place on Freedom Square. Both men were accompanied by other people. The bloody conflict ran through half of Hanau's city center and finally culminated in the parking lot on Langstrasse.

The urgent suspicion of the crime against the two men arose after police questioning of numerous witnesses and persons involved in the crime and through the evaluation of the video protection system and other surveillance cameras. The Hanau public prosecutor ordered the preliminary arrest of the two men on Friday evening and applied for two arrest warrants from the Hanau district court on Saturday morning.

The investigative judge ordered custody for both suspects. The judge's demonstration even took place in the hospital.
