As is known, the community is planning a medical center with medical, physiotherapy and pharmacy offices to ensure long-term medical care for citizens. A project that City Councilor Richard Reischl is pursuing with great vigor even in the currently uncertain times. "This is a high priority," says the mayor.

Hebertshausen - In fact, as hoped, formal expressions of interest for practices have now been received in the future medical center. A pediatrician and a pharmacist would have sent a letter of intent back. A general practitioner has also expressed his interest. There is also contact with a physiotherapist.

Of course, according to Reischl, the corona crisis is currently affecting planning security for everyone in the medical field. But Reischl remains confident and keeps pushing the pace. The development plan could be ready by autumn, before or after the summer break the local council should decide on the building application.

The medical center is of great importance for the medical care of the 5900-inhabitant community. "We will not brake there," says Reischl. Even if tax revenues declined due to the corona pandemic, this essential project would definitely not be questioned. On the contrary.

After all, the Sankt-Georgs pharmacy in the village closed in 2017, and a local family doctor wants to retire. Time is running out.

After a first concept with a private investor was known to fail in autumn 2019, the municipality is now carrying out the project on Krautgartenstraße on its own. Hebertshausen will take 2.8 million euros in hand for a modern three-storey building with a pharmacy and café on the ground floor, surgeries and some apartments. Parking spaces will initially be built above ground, until later the adjacent areas will also be developed. Then a shared neighborhood garage is to be built there.

The municipal council decided on a first concept from architect Christian Rabl in February. The users should have a say in the construction planning, especially when it comes to the room layout. Mayor Reischl therefore hopes that contracts with all future users will soon be closed. "I don't want to build on stock." PETRA SCHAFFLIK
