Nandlstadt has a new mayor: On May 1st, Jakob Hartl handed over the office chain to Gerhard Betz.

Nandlstadt - Jakob Hartl was Mayor of Nandlstadt for 30 years. His term of office ended on Thursday - because of the corona pandemic not with a big celebration or farewell, but with many warm words. For example, the teachers and nannies of the municipal kindergartens came to the town hall to say goodbye to their longtime boss with a song and thank you words - of course with a mouthguard and the necessary distance. Hartl was delighted with the visit - and also with the gift that the kindergarten staff gave him: For the hobby gardener who would like to spend more time in the garden again, there was a watering can and a rake.

It was very difficult for Hartl to say goodbye to all of his employees: he thanked them for the always good cooperation and wished them all the best. Finally, on May 1, the chain of office had to be handed over to his successor Gerhard Betz. “I have worn them with great respect for special events for 30 years. I have honored them and I would be delighted if you would also honor this office chain as a special expression of the Mayor of Nandlstadt, ”he said to the new town hall manager and put the office chain around his neck.
