News for the exams - the psychometric exam is approved and the exam date is expected to be published this week. With the outbreak of the Corona virus, disabling the education and economy system also abolished the psychometric exam, which was scheduled for April 6 and April 7. These are 31,570 young people who were scheduled to take the psychometric exam which, with its results, would have already enrolled for the school year beginning in October 2020.

This resulted in disappointment among the examiners, some even outraged by the National Examination Center's announcement and assessment that once approved by the authorities, they would be notified only 7-10 days before the exam. In recent days, the Council of Higher Education received a document signed by Professor Sigal Sadecki, head of public health at the Ministry of Health about how the exams will be held this summer. As a result, ELO - the National Center for Examinations and Assessment, has been approved to hold the exam. In the coming days, maybe even tomorrow they are expected to decide on the final date and publish it.

For example, in a class of up to 60 square meters - there will be no more than 15 examinees and staff, in a class of over 60 square meters and up to 150 square meters there will be no more than 25 examinees and staff and in a class of over 150 square meters - no More than 50 examinees and staff. These guidelines will enable academic institutions to conduct tests on campus if required by the Ministry of Health guidelines.

The aspiration is to take the exam already in May or early June, and in a summation between Malawi and the universities, it was decided that the universities would wait for the planned psychometric exam grades, for admission to most of the curriculum. A desire to facilitate and assist as much as possible in the enrollment processes for the next school year.

The scheduled exam inlay will remain unchanged, so anyone who signs up for April will be tested on the same exam cycle, exam site and exam class to which they were embedded on the original date - this is to allow for as fast preparations as possible. If there are constraints that require changes to the inlay, a special notice will be given to the registrants whose inlay is different. In addition, as part of the preparations, all the educational institutions in which the exam is scheduled to take place in April have committed to allocate two consecutive days in favor of taking the exam on the new date to be set. There is also no change in the subsequent dates of the psychometric exams, including the July date, and registration for these dates continues as a series.
