Poing - How do you make chalk? Or really nice soap bubbles? Or a handful of flowers (literally)? Sibylle Burghauser offers instructions for this as well as for other ideas on the internet platform "Poings Kids @ home", which was created in the course of the corona crisis. On the website www.poing.de, the municipality of Poing has collected some actions and ideas from Poing - including those of Sibylle Burghauser.

Poing: New platform on the website

The 41-year-old independent family companion should know many children from real life when handicraft, painting and creative courses with real contact were still allowed. She has been offering all kinds of courses for eleven years, for example in the family center. There is also a music garden and courses for young parents. Because of Corona, Burghauser also had to put her work on the Internet - but that doesn't detract from her creativity. Luckily!

Craft ideas for at home

Her ideas, handicraft instructions and experiments with which she volunteers “Poings Kids @ home” are suitable for small and large children. As in normal times, she tries most of the things at home first - with her own children (9, 11 and 13 years) as test subjects. "As soon as I get the craft things out, my daughter comes first and wants to join in," says Sibylle Burghauser and smiles. She never seems to run out of ideas, also thanks to her own children, from whom she occasionally learns something.

Despite Corona, being creative is also possible

Handicrafts, painting, being creative: can children (not only in Corona times) still do this in times of cell phones and an excess of games and distraction on social media? Well, Sibylle Burghauser replies, in the past few years she has observed that children are less skilled at handicrafts than before. Some would only know pre-cut craft templates. Or, "the classic", as she says, is surprised to see that you can easily sow and pull up cress yourself.

Parents Admire “Angel Patience”

Sibylle Burghauser has been working with children in particular in addition to their own for eleven years. "Many parents say they admire me for my angelic patience," she says. “It's just nice to play and tinker with other children. And it's nice and exciting to experience the group dynamics that arise in the courses. ”

The courses, the teamwork, the group dynamics - all of that has to pause right now because of Corona. Likewise, the happy togetherness. Sibylle Burghauser still shares her ideas and creativity with children - at the moment, it is only forcibly via the Internet.

Poings Kids @ home

Parents can find numerous activities for their children (and also for themselves) under the link "Poings Kids @ home" at www.poing.de. For example, readings from children's books, ideas for exercise without physical education and without a playground, as well as tips from the youth center and the two parishes for leisure activities at home.
