The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced the elimination of 18 terrorists in the vicinity of the city of Bir al-Abd, North Sinai.
The Al-Ahram Gate website quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that it had killed 18 terrorists in an exchange of fire when targeting their hatch in the vicinity of the city of Bir al-Abd in North Sinai, as well as seizing 13 automatic weapons, 3 explosive devices and two explosive belts.
A number of Egyptian army soldiers were killed and wounded when an explosive device exploded in a military armored vehicle south of the city of Bir al-Abed last Thursday.
