Jobs in Ile-de-France: these highly sought-after occupations during confinement

2020-05-03T15:47:38.821Z

Nearly 3,000 recruitment offers were recorded in the region and in the Oise on the Mobilization-employment platform, implementation

The country did not stop shooting on March 17, when the containment measures came into force. The essential activities continued to operate and even to recruit, to provide certain health services or allow everyone to do their shopping.

Nearly 3,000 job offers were recorded in Ile-de-France and in the Oise region on the Mobilization-employment platform, launched on April 6 by the government and Pôle emploi to meet labor needs. most urgent works.

Unsurprisingly, Ile-de-France concentrates more than 2,700 jobs, out of the 22,650 recorded in France. With each time between 150 and 200 offers per department (116 in Oise), knowing that an offer can concern several positions.

"The only exception is the Hauts-de-Seine with 467 offers," notes Cécile Lévêque, from business services to the regional office of Pôle Emploi. This is mainly due to the numerous corporate headquarters, notably at La Défense. Some offers concerned other Ile-de-France departments, even the province. Moreover, if we look at workplaces in the Paris region, the number of positions is equivalent according to the departments.

Home helpers in high demand

As for the profiles most sought after in the Ile-de-France region, these are logically those related to health. The demand is very strong for home help for the elderly (506 offers), whether at home or in nursing homes. Caregivers (242) and nurses (176) follow.

To date, only 684 offers have been met in Ile-de-France. “These are trades requiring qualifications and already in high demand in normal times, warns Cécile Lévêque. We therefore have a lot of offers but few candidates, which explains that 61% of the offers are permanent contracts (Editor's note:% at national level) . Nurses, for example, are almost all already on the job. And we haven't yet had all the feedback from companies regarding whether or not to hire the job seekers we send them. "

Especially since in total, 16,000 applications were made. But nothing prevents a candidate from applying several times for a single offer. The interviews are carried out mainly by video or by telephone "so as not to make the candidate move for nothing".

Emergency, security ... "verified" job advertisements

To manage priorities, Pôle emploi has implemented a protocol to ensure that the offers sent by employers are given priority. "Each recruiter is systematically called back by his home agency," explains the manager at the Pôle Emploi. And our services ask a number of questions to verify in particular that the employer is able to guarantee the safety of the future employee. "

However, no control is possible. "If something is wrong, job seekers can report problems to the agency," says Cécile Lévêque. But overall, it appears that very few offers are refused: only 465 in France (2.5%) and 77 in Ile-de-France, or 0.34%.
