Four Iranians pretending to be police officers and pretending to control travel certificates to steal motorists in the Paris region will be tried in June in Meaux (Seine-et-Marne), we learned on Monday from the prosecutor .

These three three men and a woman, aged about thirty, were to be tried on Monday for immediate appearance for "theft in meeting and for false quality" , but they asked for a delay to prepare their defense, explained Laureline Peyrefitte . Their trial was postponed to June 19, said the prosecutor. "They were kept in pre-trial detention ," she added. They were arrested Thursday in Seine-Saint-Denis by investigators from the Seine-et-Marne departmental security.
The case dates back to April 7 with the complaint filed by a Polish truck driver. He had been arrested in Seine-et-Marne by men who claimed to be police, surgical mask on the face, supporting cards and badges. After the "check" and search of his vehicle, the driver realized that 1,500 euros had been stolen from him. The investigators had made the parallel with another theft in Val-d'Oise and had spotted the vehicle of the "false police" thanks to video surveillance.
At the home of the suspected thieves in Saint-Denis, the investigators had discovered 12,000 euros, luxury watches, jewelry. They also had their hands on a document establishing accounts of more than 40,000 euros, certainly relating to these thefts. Among the alleged criminals, two are known in Belgium, Switzerland and Germany for theft.
