The assessment of the epidemic of new coronavirus now exceeds 25,000 deaths in France, whose map of departments for the gradual deconfinement planned from May 11 is unchanged, announced Monday the Directorate General of Health (DGS).

COVID-19 killed 306 more in 24 hours in France for a balance of 25,201 deaths since March 1, including 15,826 in hospitals and 9,375 in social and medico-social establishments, mainly Ehpad, said the DGS . The number of people hospitalized in intensive care for their contamination with the new coronavirus continues to decrease, with 123 fewer patients since Sunday for a total of 3,696.

The circulation of the virus has decreased in Ardèche but this department does not go so far in green and remains in orange on the summary map drawn up for the deconfinement, due to a persistent hospital tension. In mainland France, the departments of the Grand-Est, Ile-de-France, Hauts-de-France and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions, i.e. the northeast quarter of the country, are the only ones in red.
