Damascus-Sana
Today, Damascus Governorate launched the “Text on us and text on you” initiative to sell basic vegetables in Damascus neighborhoods at reduced prices by subsidizing their price by the governorate, which purchases materials from the cardamom market and sells them by mobile cars in the popular neighborhoods of the city.
The initiative launched by the governorate aims to reduce the burdens on citizens during the blessed month of Ramadan, where 3 kilos of potatoes are sold for 500 pounds, 3 kilos of eggplant for 500 pounds, 2 kilograms of tomatoes for 500 pounds and a bag of lettuce with 300 pounds.
The areas where the sale was made, according to the head of the provincial council, Khaled Al-Harah, in a statement to the delegate of Sana, included the neighborhoods of Ish al-Warwar, Mazza Jabal 86 and Rukn al-Din, indicating that the quality of the vegetables that were sold today is of good quality.
Al-Harah explained that the initiative is financially supported by the governorate and included selling vegetables through cars to the governorate, whose number will be increased to cover a greater number of neighborhoods, noting that the vegetables will be increased next week to include a wider variety with the addition of a number of fruits.
