The covid-19 coronavirus pandemic forced the league to make this decision and justified the well-being of football players, workers, and fans.

"After in-depth analysis, we believe that the decision to play all of our games in the country this season is the right one for our players, our clubs and all of our supporters in the United States, Mexico and the United Kingdom," said the Executive Vice President. of Strategy and Growth Christopher Halpin.
For this 2020 the NFL had planned to play a game in Mexico City at the Azteca Stadium and four games in London, two at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and two at Wembley.
The so-called International Series had the Atlanta Falcons, the Arizona Cardinals, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the MIami Dolphins contemplated as the teams to exercise their hometown in these games.
