The Media, Communications and Information Technology Committee also discussed the draft law containing the ratification of international documents issued by the second and third conferences of the Universal Postal Union in addition to researching and discussing issues of concern to citizens related to the work and tasks of the Ministry of Communications and Technology.
The Minister of Communications and Technology, Eng. Also during its meeting, the Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy discussed the draft law that includes the ratification of the contract for oil exploration, development and production in Block No. 12 in the Albukamal region with its annexes signed on 28-28-2020 between the government of the Syrian Arab Republic and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
And the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Eng. Ali Ghanem, stated that this agreement is one of the important agreements that come within the strategic plan of the ministry in increasing drilling, exploration, development and development operations and improving the returns of oil and gas fields, which were based on the economic agreement signed between Syria and Iran on 16-3-2015 within the best Commercial, legal and financial conditions and that the area for Block No. (21) in Albukamal is 6702 square kilometers.
