Four of the People's Assembly Standing Committees held their meetings today and discussed a number of draft laws referred to them after the start of the thirteenth regular session of the parliament yesterday, Sunday, after the work of the parliament ceased from 22-3-2020 in the context of precautionary measures to address the Corona epidemic.
The Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee discussed the permissibility of constitutional consideration of a number of draft laws referred to it, which is the draft law that includes amending paragraph (e) of Article (7) of Law No. (8) of 2005 containing contracts, sales and sales of the Ministry of Defense and the draft law that includes the cancellation of the Canadian University Hospital in Aleppo And replace the University Hospital of Aleppo with all its rights and obligations.
The Media, Communications and Information Technology Committee also discussed the draft law containing the ratification of international documents issued by the second and third conferences of the Universal Postal Union in addition to researching and discussing issues of concern to citizens related to the work and tasks of the Ministry of Communications and Technology.
The Minister of Communications and Technology, Eng. Iyad Al-Khatib, explained the importance of the documents and their role in developing international cooperation in the field of mail between the 192 member states of the union, indicating that the postal systems are characterized by renewal and continuity to keep pace with developments on the international scene related to postal affairs, noting that for the Hasaka governorate, a link has been reconnected The Governorate's communication network with the Syrian national network, where the province was previously dependent on the satellite network (satellites), stressing that the ministry will continue to provide all modern technical services for the city of Hasaka.
Also during its meeting, the Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy discussed the draft law that includes the ratification of the contract for oil exploration, development and production in Block No. 12 in the Albukamal region with its annexes signed on 28-28-2020 between the government of the Syrian Arab Republic and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
And the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Eng. Ali Ghanem, stated that this agreement is one of the important agreements that come within the strategic plan of the ministry in increasing drilling, exploration, development and development operations and improving the returns of oil and gas fields, which were based on the economic agreement signed between Syria and Iran on 16-3-2015 within the best Commercial, legal and financial conditions and that the area for Block No. (21) in Albukamal is 6702 square kilometers.
