The cruise ship with 2,899 crew members on board is in quarantine in the German port of Cuxhaven after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19 , the NDR reported. Some of the crew members had been brought to "Mein Schiff 3" by other cruise ships before they were to be returned to their home countries.

The personnel who had left "Mein Schiff 3" before April 28, 2020 were informed and asked to self-quarantine at home.
