While many companies and organizations around the world are working to find various vaccines and treatments for the global corona epidemic, other sources, most of them unknown and coming from authoritarian countries, are trying to get hold of information and sabotage efforts.
British news network Sky reports on Tuesday that a document by the British National Cyber Security Council reveals that several attempts have been made to break into the computers of companies and organizations involved in developing a coronary disease vaccine. The organization defined the acts as a "malicious cyber operation" and information that reached the British news network places the attempted burglary of criminals from Russia, China and Iran.
The organization called on institutions such as universities and pharmaceutical companies to improve security systems and to work with employees to maintain their essential passwords.
According to the publication, one of the attacks in the United Kingdom was unsuccessful, but apparently some attacks in the United States did indeed succeed in breaking into the databases of bodies developing vaccines and drugs for the corona virus.
The reason for these attacks, according to the document, is the combination of the large monetary value of medical information related to the Corona virus as well as the interest of political bodies, which back up and fund crime teams for such and other purposes. "The criminals are designed to collect a wealth of personal and intellectual and scientific information in accordance with state needs," the document said.
