A meeting between Attorney Dan Eldad, until recently Deputy State Attorney, and State Comptroller Matthew Netman, on the conduct of the Judiciary in the Harpaz case - was canceled at the last minute. The meeting was scheduled for Tuesday (Tuesday).

The official reason for the cancellation is the fact that Eldad has not been acting Attorney General since the beginning of the month, a role that Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has taken on. However, "Israel Today" has learned that behind the repeal there are heavy pressures exerted by the Judea and Samaria and other senior prosecutors.

Remember, early last week, the Deputy State Attorney sent a letter of complaint to the State Comptroller stating allegations against the counsel. Earlier, the consultant and the deputy exchanged harsh letters blaming each other. Subsequently, Mandelblit contacted the Civil Service Commissioner, arguing that there was a legal impediment to extending the office of Deputy State's Attorney Dan Eldad.

Eldad responded to the letter, explaining that this conduct was the result of a complaint he received about Mendelblit's work from a journalist: "Before the holiday, a journalist's office, dealing with the affairs of Avichai Mandelblit, came to my office. Yesterday (Monday), Eldad returned to his previous position as Director of the Department of Economic Affairs. However, after Supreme Court Justice Manny Mazuz hastened to issue an order expropriating Minister of Justice Amir Ohana, his authority to extend the appointment.
