Some shop owners confirmed their commitment to precautionary measures, both in terms of continuous cleaning and sterilization and wearing protective means "gloves and masks". For his part, Mahmoud Harba, the owner of a store that sells food products, said that sterilization takes place on a daily basis, with the commitment of all workers to wear gloves and masks, while Ayman Al-Khimi stressed that he is fully committed to all methods of prevention and cleaning that are done more than once in the day using the appropriate sterilization materials such as Dettol, chlorine and flash.

The Director of Follow-up and Complaints at the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment Loay Youssef explained in a statement to the SANA delegate that the aim of the tour in the markets is to follow up on the extent of commitment to the measures taken by the government team to reduce the transmission of the Corona virus.

Youssef emphasized that appropriate legal action has been taken against a number of owners of non-compliant stores, as it was found that there was no complete commitment by the assignee to the procedures, stating that these tours also aim to spread awareness between the service provider and the citizen that the obligation to tackle the virus must be adhered to.

For his part, Director of Health Affairs in the Damascus Governorate, Dr. Shadi Khalouf, stated in a similar statement that there is a joint cooperation between several parties to follow up on the commitment of food and other commercial stores to the instructions and health conditions to keep them open and not to violate them because the approval to open commercial stores and markets was conditional on adhering to the instructions of cleaning and sterilization And others, and any violation that requires closure for an indefinite period, calling on all to abide by the procedures to maintain public safety.

Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Samir, Deputy Commander of Damascus Police, in turn, indicated that the tours began yesterday with the visit of the Mazzeh markets, Sheikh Saad and Al-Salihiya, as a witness, and the residences of Barzeh, Al-Midan, and Kafr Sousa.
