Wolfratshausen - The corona virus forced the protagonists to change location: The six new city councilors and the two deputies of Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner (BVW) were sworn in at the Loisachhalle on Tuesday evening. The prescribed minimum distance could not be guaranteed in the meeting room of the town hall, and the auditorium of the elementary and middle school on Hammerschmiedweg also proved unsuitable after examination.

"I am looking forward to a good cooperation, we are starting into a difficult phase," said councilor Heilinglechner. “We have big projects ahead of us”, the financing of which is likely to become problematic due to the economic consequences of the pandemic for the municipality.

"We are starting a difficult phase"

"I swear allegiance to the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany and the constitution of the Free State of Bavaria. I swear to be obedient to the law and to fulfill my official duties conscientiously ”: Peter Lobenstein, Assunta Tammelleo, Jennifer Layton (all Greens), Sepp Schwarzenbach, Susanne Thomas (both CSU) and Dr. Patrick Lechner takes her oath of office under the eyes of around a dozen citizens. The town hall manager had to do without a strong handshake as a welcome greeting for a known reason.

Mayor has to do without handshake

In previous, non-public exploratory talks, Heilinglechner and the spokesmen for the parliamentary groups had agreed on both the number of deputy mayors and the applicants. The City Council unanimously elected Günther Eibl from the CSU as Vice-City Hall chief, Annette Heinloth from the Greens is the third mayor, and she also received 25 out of 25 votes. Both ballots were secret, for this purpose four voting booths had been set up in the Loisachhalle. Eibl and Heinloth had challenged Heilinglechner as reported in the mayoral election in March, the Green Councilor missed the runoff election by 36 votes, Eibl lost to the incumbent in the runoff election.

Wolfratshausen: Greens provide environmental officers

The appointment of the specialist committees and the appointment of speakers were also discussed. In the future, the Greens, the strongest faction in the city council with six mandate holders, will provide the environmental advisors: Hans Schmidt solves Dr. Manfred Fleischer (list WOR). Helmut Forster's wish was also fulfilled: the ex-mayor, who turned his back with his political foster son Heilinglechner before the local elections of the citizens' association due to "irreconcilable differences" and who launched the WOR list with Fleischer and Richard Kugler, remains business secretary. Lechner is the freedom representative for information - the FDP Council forms a parliamentary group with the four representatives of the SPD.

FDP forms fraction group with SPD

Both the CSU parliamentary group and the Greens start their term of office from 2020 to 2026 with new speakers: Christian Socialist Group leader Peter Plößl, until then it was Günther Eibl; Hans Schmidt from. Fritz Meixner speaks for the SPD / FDP parliamentary group, and Josef Praller for BVW. Group leader of the WOR list is Helmut Forster.

The constituent meeting of the council was not least a benefit for the friends of the district clinic, specifically the clinic staff. The CSU faction donated their attendance fee, for which, according to Peter Plößl, “protective clothing for the employees of the clinic” should be purchased. All other groups joined the initiative. "A good suggestion," said Mayor Heilinglechner and promised: "I'll add something more."
