The defendant, Sun Chengxi, 19 years old, admitted to possessing an offensive weapon, a wooden stick, in Kwun Tong on October 28 last year.
The case alleges that when the police officer patrolled the Kwun Tong area that night, he saw three men in black suspiciously and planned to get out of the car for investigation. However, the three men fled and the defendant failed to escape the arrest. He said under caution that night With two other friends planning to go to Kwun Tong Industrial Building to collect the data, the stick was given to him by a friend.
Drug addiction is not suitable for sentenced labor camp
The magistrate stated in his sentence that the accused's report showed that he was addicted to drugs and his physical condition was not suitable for the sentence to rehabilitation centers and labor camps. This case was a crime under the Public Security Ordinance, so he could only be sentenced to imprisonment.
