Washington - Sana

Leaks of the current and former officials of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, which prove the deliberate manipulation of the organization's recent report on the alleged use of chemical weapons in the town of Latamna in 2017 and describes it as deficient and politicized and that it is marred by fatal scientific errors.

In the new leak obtained by the independent news website, "The Gray Zone", officials who contributed to preparing and reviewing the report issued on the eighth of last month, prepared by the so-called "investigation and identification team," this report is politicized and is based on rumors, anecdotal statements and false scientific allegations It has also been subject to the influence of underqualified, biased, and underground experts in opposition groups.

According to the new leak, "a number of neutral experts who no longer wish to relate to politicized reports issued by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons consider that the report on the use of toxic substances in latamne is procedural and scientific inaccurate and some of us believe that it should not represent the work of the inspectors of the organization at all." .

Officials and experts stressed that "the organization's report on Latamana again sheds light on the authorities of influential countries to abuse the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to advance its political goals .. It is clear to us through the establishment of the" Investigation and Identification Team "that the team does not aim to investigate the alleged incidents of occurrence Chemical attacks in Syria. Indeed, the team was established simply to place the responsibility of the Syrian state on these attacks, and thus its credibility has been compromised.

The officials refuted in a report to them, "The Gray Zone" obtained a copy of what was stated in the organization's report on the use of chemicals in Al-Latamna in 2017, confirming that none of the investigating team involved in investigating these incidents or from the investigation and identification team did not visit the sites of the alleged attacks but They relied on what the armed organizations provided, pointing at the same time that the supposed evidence was presented to the investigators over months and years and they were all delivered, including details of facts, witness testimonies, samples, and photos in Turkey.

The officials revealed that the investigators, whose team consists of "no investigation and identification", have no experience in chemistry or weapons systems and chemical technology, and therefore they rely entirely on experts provided by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, who in turn represent Western intelligence agencies and those of NATO. And individuals who aim to implicate and accuse the Syrian government.

By examining the organization’s latest report, according to officials, the language used in the report is the same as that used in the organization’s previous report on the alleged chemical attack in Douma in 2018, which documents published by the Daily Mail newspaper late last year proved to have been manipulated with the aim of falsifying facts and accusing the Syrian government.

The officials also pointed out to one of the important points that prove the falsity of the organization's report on the use of toxic substances in Al-Latamna, which is the allegation of throwing bombs with sarin gas in empty agricultural fields, and the medical symptoms that appeared on the alleged injured are not consistent with the symptoms accompanying a toxic gas attack in addition to that it is from It is illogical for the Syrian state to use chemicals at a time when it had the advantage in facing terrorist organizations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirmed that the report of the organization on the use of toxic substances in the town of Latamna in 2017 is misleading and included false and fabricated conclusions aimed at falsifying facts and accusing the Syrian government, stressing that the report's findings represent another scandal for the organization and its investigation teams added to the scandal of the 2018 Duma Incident report.

Last March, a leak to an official in the organization revealed that the organization's administration launched a malicious and flawed attack against two veteran inspectors, which proved the incorrectness of the official account of the organization regarding the alleged chemical attack in Douma in 2018 and the accusation of the Syrian Arab Army that it was to justify the American-British and French aggression against Syria at the time.

The British newspaper Daily Mail revealed last December new documents proving the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons manipulated the final report on the alleged chemical attack in Douma in April of 2018 and made significant changes to the evidence of field investigators, noting that a senior official in the organization ordered the hiding of an important document It undermines the organization's allegations that the Syrian Arab Army used chemical weapons.
